January, 2019

Detroit-based freelance photographer

The concept began in February, 2016 when I asked my friend if I could use her Nikon DSLR to shoot video of my friends skiing. Instead of using hers, I purchased my first DSLR - a Canon Rebel t5i with the standard kit lens. From there, I began taking photos where I was inspired early on by photographers on Instagram: @13thwitness, @RyanMillier, @Kosten and @Trashhand.

Since starting in 2016, I developed a deep appreciation for the art of photography, as I continue to create styles that tell stories, showcase my friends, display beauty and give perspective.

Currently, I’ve been focused heavily in the metalcore music scene, taking pictures of: Underoath, The Plot In You, Dance Gavin Dance, The Devil Wears Prada, Crown the Empire and more, and draw much of today’s inspiration from well-known photographers: Matty Vogel, Ray Duker and Ashley Osborn.

As of now, I currently do all my visual work on a Sony A7 with a Sony 28mm f/2.
