Lansing metalcore band signs with SharpTone Records (plus new video "Suffer")

It’s no surprise that metalcore has a strong stake-hold in the Midwest and eastern regions of the United States, and more individually, Michigan. With popular metalcore bands like We Came As Romans, Chiodos, Citizen, For the Fallen Dreams and more, there’s one group that you should be listening to right now!

Originating in Lansing, Michigan and comprised of Tyler (lead singer), Damon (guitar/backing vocals), Mike (guitar), Kyle (drums) and Jon (bass), you have the hard-hitting, powerful and energetic band that goes by the name Of Virtue.

When I first gave them a listen, it was their very popular song ‘Surrounded’ (2018), which embodies everything that makes a venue want to pound their fists in the air, and scream “yeah!”. Since the tracks release in early 2018, it has reached considerable success accruing more than 1-million streams on Spotify, and nearly two-hundred thousand views on Youtube.

Now, the Of Virtue gang are back to kick off the new year with a chest-pounding cycle of success, tours, a record signing and new music.

There was news circling within their fanbase about a January 11th release date for the new video and song “Suffer”, but that wasn’t the only news. The guys gave marvelous news of their new record deal with up and coming label, SharpTone Records. If you don’t know who SharpTone is, then I’m certain you’ve heard of their lineup. Comprised of Crystal Lake, Alazka, Attila, Don Broco, Polaris and more, the label is full of some of the biggest and up and coming metal, hardcore and punk acts in the game today. And, Of Virtue is now added to that collective list of formidable and talented acts.

There’s no doubt that Of Virtue features an energetic group of gentlemen, which is generously displayed in their music, as well. And they kicked off the new year with movement by releasing their new video and song “Suffer”.

The video features the band displaying their energy and power, with lead singer Tyler, giving their listeners dynamic and forceful vocals, unique guitar riffs, epic bass lines and drums, surrounded by old-school televisions and the band, well…going crazy!

Of Virtue is already on track to reaching even more success in 2019, and that energy is going to carry with the band when they hit the road on a massive 26 show tour spanning the midwest, east and south regions of the United States over the entire month of February.

If there was a year for the Lansing gents, it’s safe to say 2019 is off to a fantastic start!
